Podcast: What's it like being an interior designer?

Well, I can knock that one off the bucket list.
Since many of our clients are business owners, I thought it would be interesting to interview an entrepreneur about their journey, struggles, and successes.
The other reason? The number one question I get from clients outside of their circumstances is “how is Cara, and how is her business doing?”
So on this episode of the Wealth Wisdom Podcast, I’m joined by Cara Lawson, who is the owner of Cara Interiors Inc.
Cara was candid about her journey through the world of interior design, talking about how to grow as a business owner, and whether or not it’s worthwhile to work with a business coach.
She also touches on her ideal clients as an interior designer, and provides a peek at current trends in the industry.

How can you grow as a business owner?
If you’ve seen some of the ads for Cara Interiors around South Surrey/White Rock, you’ll notice that the first part of her slogan is “listen first.”
Ironically, that’s Cara’s primary advice for how business owners can grow and improve their operation.
Is it worth hiring a business coach?
This is something I’ve been asked over the years, but not as often I would have thought.
The main reason? Business owners often believe they’re too busy to hire a business coach.
They find themselves working “in” the business, when they should be working “on” the business.

Do you have a succession plan?
This is the part of the podcast where I ask Cara the tough questions.
